Rare First Temple-Era Seal Unearthed in Jerusalem Shows Ancient Jewish Ties

A stamped piece of clay from the First Temple period, which belonged to “sar ha’ir” – the “governor of the city” of Jerusalem, the most prominent local position to be held in Jerusalem 2,700 years ago – was recently unearthed and presented to Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat. Watch the video.
